China Devalued their Currency – Are You Over Paying?

The trade wars have escalated to a newly unexpected level as China allowed their currency to lose its value to 7 renminbi to the dollar.  This represents a 15% decrease in value, offering those that outsource products from China more buying power.

According to the New York Times, the last time China’s currency was weaker than 7 to the dollar was in 2008, as the financial crisis mounted. Monday’s move by itself will not change China’s trade relations with the United States.
